8mm carnelian beads, capped with 3mm bronze-tone beads on each end, are painstakingly wire-wrapped with brass wire. This 10-bead paternoster is terminated at one end with gold-finished pewter cross, and at the other with a reddish brown tassel that nicely complements the color of the carnelian.

The overall composition of this paternoster results in a feeling of antiquity. This ancient look reminds us that paternosters were perhaps the first Christian prayer ropes, dating back to early centuries of the Church. Prayer is certainly a "landmark" or tradition that our forefathers have handed down to us and that we should never forsake.
